Pierre Kirandage died in a hospital in Bujumbura on April 12, 2007, at the age of 78 and was buried 5 days later in front of the Ruvumu elementary school, of which he was the promoter.
Pierre Kirandage has rendered a great service to his community and his region by promoting and developing children’s education. He served his community with generosity and dedication. Therefore, the Foundation, which bears his name, was founded to pay tribute to him and to continue his work.
The Foundation is dedicated to the education of children from the village of Ruvumu, (Bururi Province in southern Burundi).
