The elementary school did not include a kindergarten level in Ruvumu; as such, younger children were deprived of an education early on in their lives.
Parents solicited the Foundation to include in the elementary school a kindergarten section opened to 5-year-olds. This initiative was put in place in 2014, and the school now includes a kindergarten class.
The school being at the proximity of the village and its surroundings can be easily accessed by many children. Children can now start their education already at age five. The kindergarten class accommodates about twenty children and is supervised by a teacher.
